Our Approach to Digital Trust

Trust evolves with culture, context and experience. Our methodology reflects that reality.

At the centre of our work is the TDS-CSI trust assessment model, which combines the broader Trusted Digital Society framework with customer-level indicators such as product experience, service quality and emotional connection.

We analyse both structured data (transactions, surveys) and unstructured data (social media, reviews, sentiment signals). Advanced machine learning techniques identify how trust is forming, weakening or recovering across consumer, business and government environments.

What sets this approach apart is its ability to recalibrate in real time and account for cultural differences. Trust drivers vary significantly across markets — for example, brand social responsibility carries considerably more weight for Chinese consumers than for Western audiences.

The model is designed to:

This approach has delivered practical outcomes, from improving supply-chain transparency for Australian brands entering China to simulating the trust impact of cross-border data regulations with minimal error.

Real-Time Trust Monitoring

To complement trust assessment, we developed the Real-Time Trust Monitoring System (RTMS), enabling organisations to track trust as it happens rather than relying on retrospective reporting.

RTMS uses a distributed architecture supported by blockchain technology to securely synchronise data between Australia and China. It integrates in-store experience data, online behaviour and public sentiment,

The system has proven particularly valuable in crisis scenarios and high-compliance environments, enabling earlier intervention, reduced customer churn and significantly improved audit efficiency.

Cross-Cultural Trust Intelligence

Trust does not translate evenly across borders. Language, social norms and cultural expectations all influence how it is formed and expressed. Our Cross-Cultural Trust Algorithm (CEC Model) was built to address this challenge.

Drawing on established cultural frameworks and localised research, the model quantifies core trust factors and how their relative importance differs by market. It analyses trust expressions across languages, capturing not only meaning but emotional intensity, and continuously refines recommendations as market conditions shift.
